![]() Follow the instructions below to change the external display settings. Right-click (or Control+Click) on an application’s dock icon, then move to the Options submenu. You can also choose to keep an application on a certain desktop, or even on all desktops. You can add new desktops using the plus + button in the top-right corner of the screen. Either uncheck the Mirror displays checkbox, or Drag one of the overlapping displays away from the other in the Arrangement pane. Do not select the Mirror Displays tickbox (unless you want the second screen to show the same content as your original screen). Rearrange desktops by clicking and dragging them. Windows uses the term Duplicate instead of Mirroring. You have mirrored that display to a different one. Press the Windows + Shift + left arrow keys to move your windows to your monitor to the left.
